X-PO – The Door is Open. Public Meeting 6th September @8pm

Over the last few years the X-PO LOCAL ARTS PROJECT has been supported day by day, week by week, month by month by the people of the locality. Whether it be setting up and running clubs, groups and exhibitions for singers, dancers, knitters, Irish speakers or local map makers; providing tea and buns for the exhibition launches; organising with the Kilnaboy Development Association the wonderful children’s Christmas Party; supporting coffee mornings, card games, pub quizzes and social nights; attending talks on killeens, natural history, local history, herbs and caving – the events have been run and the people have come. Each September since the X-PO started it has held a General Public Meeting to allow people to make their feelings about the project known. The meeting also serves as an introduction to the X-PO for those who have not heard of it and a report on the year’s activities for those who have. An invitation is extended to everybody to get involved with the project either by joining in the clubs and groups, setting up a new club or group. Please turn up for the Public Meeting and find out about the social and cultural opportunities taking place right on your doorstep.
