Francis Whelan of the X-PO Mapping and Tracing Group will be giving atalk on the Holy Wells around Kilnaboy on Tuesday 3rd February at 8.30in the X-PO.
Kilnaboy abounds with Holy Wells, some well known and visited on annual pilgrimages by hundreds, some hidden, some known only from old maps and stories but now lost or very hard to find. Francis has an extensive knowledge of the area and will not only be talking about the wells but gathering information for inclusion in the Mapping group archive.
